Do cut edges need sealing?

Yes, coat all cut edges with Hardie™ Seal or touch-up paint.

How should boards be cut?

Use Hardie Blade™ saw blade or Hardie™ Guillotine for clean cuts and minimal dust.

Can Hardie® Plank boards be fixed directly to masonry?

No, fix to battens or approved subframe system only.

What type of subframe is required?

Install on ventilated rainscreen system with timber or metal battens; minimum 20 mm ventilation gap behind boards.

Should I leave gaps between boards?

Yes, maintain 1–2 mm expansion gaps at butt joints and seal cut edges with ColourPlus^™touch-up paint.
